Watch the following video and study it carefully as you will be required to research and answer the following questions relating to CPU, RAM, ROM, Internal and External Buses.
1. List all of the main components outlined in the video.
2. State the function of each of the components.
3. Explain the role of the computers central processing unit (CPU).
4. Outline the differences between random access memory (RAM) and read only memory (ROM).
5. What is Cache memory, discuss the differences between Cache, RAM and ROM memory.
6. Briefly discuss the difference between Internal and External buses.
Your answers should be documented using a word processing package (Microsoft Word). Your answer document should be submitted to you Lecturer before 31st of October 2008. Your document should also include references to all areas of research.
